I. Philosophy of Distribution: Protecting the Visual Narrative

At Nonlending, we recognize that the delivery of high-end wall art is a delicate balance between logistics and preservation. Our Philosophy of Distribution is built upon the understanding that a poster is not merely a commodity, but a vital piece of home decor that carries emotional and aesthetic value. Based in the strategic logistics corridor of Anchorage, Alaska, our facility operates with a level of precision usually reserved for fine art galleries.

The “Visual Narrative” refers to the pristine state of the ink and paper from the moment it leaves our thermal plotters until it is unrolled by the customer. Any crease, smudge, or humidity-related warp is a failure of that narrative. Therefore, we have invested heavily in “Closed-Loop Logistics,” meaning we control every variable of the packaging environment—from the ambient humidity in our staging area to the tensile strength of the shipping tubes. Our Anchorage hub allows us to utilize rapid air-freight connections, ensuring that despite the geographic distance, your art spends less time in transit and more time in a controlled environment.

II. Comprehensive Quality Audit (CQA): The Artistry Protection Protocol

Every piece of art under the Nonlending banner must survive our rigorous Three-Stage Quality Audit. This is a mandatory series of inspections designed to eliminate defects before the package is sealed.

Phase 1: Pigment & Substrate Stability
Post-printing, each poster is placed on a flat “curing rack” for a minimum of 12 hours. This allows the archival pigments to fully outgas and bond with the 200 GSM premium matte or satin paper. Our auditors use specialized 5000K daylight-balanced lamps to inspect the color gradients, ensuring there is no “banding” or ink-pooling. We check the edges for microscopic burrs—remnants of the cutting process—that could catch and cause a tear during the rolling phase.

Phase 2: Anti-Curl Interleaving & Rolling
Rolling a poster incorrectly is the leading cause of “memory curl,” making it difficult to frame. We utilize a “Low-Tension Rolling” technique. A sheet of acid-free, PH-neutral glassine paper is placed over the print surface. This serves two purposes: it acts as a dry-lubricant to prevent the ink from sticking to the back of the paper during temperature fluctuations, and it protects against static electricity. The poster is rolled around a 3-inch diameter core, which is the industry standard for preventing permanent paper deformation.

Phase 3: The “Indestructible” Tube Specification
The final audit involves the structural integrity of the shipping vessel. We utilize 3mm-thick, spiral-wound kraft cardboard tubes. These are designed to withstand a crush-test of nearly 100 lbs of vertical pressure. Each end-cap is not only friction-fitted but is also reinforced with industrial-grade moisture-resistant tape and mechanical stapling. This ensures that even if the package is subjected to the high-altitude pressure changes of air-freight, the caps will not pop, and the art will remain hermetically sealed.

III. Logistics Partners and Regional Delivery Constraints

Nonlending partners exclusively with Tier-1 carriers: FedEx, UPS, and the United States Postal Service (USPS). Our strategic location in Anchorage allows us to tap into the global hubs of these carriers, providing faster transit to the Lower 48 than many inland facilities.

  • Standard Domestic: 3-7 business days. Most East Coast orders arrive by day 5, while West Coast orders often arrive by day 3 or 4.
  • PO Boxes & Military (APO/FPO/DPO): We are proud to ship to our service members. However, due to mandatory security screenings and hand-offs between civilian and military postal systems, please expect an additional 5-7 business days for these destinations.
  • Rural Logistics: For customers in remote parts of Montana, Wyoming, or the Appalachian regions, “Last Mile” delivery is often handled by local contractors. This can occasionally lead to a tracking “gap” where the package appears stationary for 24-48 hours before delivery.
IV. Order Modifications & The “Precision Window”

To maintain our commitment to rapid fulfillment, our system is designed for speed. Once an order is placed, it is electronically transmitted to our Anchorage printing lab within minutes.

The 60-Minute Modification Policy:

Customers have exactly 60 minutes from the time of purchase to request an address change or order cancellation. After this window, the paper has been cut and the ink has been laid. Please email support@nonlending.com immediately for changes. If a package is undeliverable due to an incorrect address, a re-shipment fee of $6.99 will be required to process the return and secondary delivery.

V. Claims, Transit Damage, and Loss Prevention

We insure 100% of our shipments. In the rare event that the carrier’s machinery or personnel damage your art, we offer a “Hassle-Free Replacement” guarantee.

Reporting Damage: If your tube arrives with visible crushed sections or water stains, please take 3-4 high-resolution photos of the tube *before* opening it, and then photos of the damage to the poster itself. Email these to support@nonlending.com within 48 hours. We do not require you to ship the damaged item back; we simply use the photos to file a claim with the carrier and initiate your new print immediately.

Stolen Packages: If your tracking says “Delivered” but the tube is missing, please check with neighbors or your building’s mail room. If it is still missing after 48 hours, contact us. We will initiate a formal “Trace Investigation” with the carrier. If the carrier confirms a mis-delivery or loss, we will replace your order at no cost.
